Israeli-Palestinian Peace Process: Lessons Learned from Northern Ireland

USIP LogoOn Monday, March 13, AfP CEO Melanie Greenberg served as a panelist at a conference celebrating the 30th Anniversary of the International Fund for Ireland (IFI), and exploring lessons and implications for the Israeli-Palestinian case. The conference, hosted by the United States Institute of Peace and the Embassy of Ireland, began with a keynote address by Senator George Mitchell, and was followed by panels on the peace process in Northern Ireland, and the peace process between Israeli and Palestine. Melanie Greenberg spoke on the Northern Ireland panel, comparing the role of civil society in both peace processes. AfP member Joel Braunold, CEO of the Alliance for Middle East Peace, was a key conference organizer and served on the Israel-Palestine panel.
