Conciliation Resources Contact: Andy Carl, Co-Founder and Director of Conciliation Resources (CR) acarl@c-r.org CR provides practical and sustained assistance to people and groups in areas of armed conflict or potential violence. We specifically work with those working at community or national levels to prevent violence or transform conflict into opportunities for social, economic and political development based on more just relationships. Where mechanisms for effective participation are non-existent or weak, sustained conflict transformation support implies providing opportunities locally, nationally and sometimes regionally, to build or strengthen civic capabilities for dialogue and problem-solving. Founded in 1994, CR is a multi-racial and international organization with 15 staff in London and ten (including project and support staff) in Sierra Leone, with offices in Freetown and Bo. Charity status was obtained in May 1996.
