#Yes4YPS: Youth -The Essential Peace Event

SEPTEMBER 19, 2020 | 11:00AM - 4:00PM EST

Join us for this half-day event which will begin by recalling the initiative that led to the unanimous adoption of UN Security Council Resolution 2250. this event will raise the profile of young people creating peaceful communities, the establishment of the global Youth, Peace, and Security coalition, and the report “The Missing Peace” that calls for initiatives to create a new narrative about youth as partners in peace and security. An inspiring group of presenters from countries on four continents will share perspectives on human rights-related conflicts in their countries and their experiences as young peacebuilders. This event is also designed for action - #YES4YPS! The genesis of the U.S. Youth, Peace, and Security Act of 2020 will be highlighted. Ideas to advance a global movement of young peacebuilders will be shared. Storytelling training for influence and impact will be provided.
