Metro (Subway)

Day 1: United States Institute of Peace (USIP)

• USIP is a short walk (0.6 miles) from the Foggy Bottom-GWU Metro station, accessible via the Blue, Orange, and Silver lines.

Days 2 & 3: George Mason University - Mason Square (GMU)

• GMU is a short walk (0.4 miles) from the Virginia Square-GMU Metro station, located along the Orange and Silver lines.

Parking:

Day 1: USIP

• Parking is not available at USIP and the area has very limited street parking.

• We highly encourage attendees to plan to use Metro or taxis/rideshares to attend Day 1.

• George Washington University, located near USIP, has several parking garages. Learn more about locations and rates: https://business-services.gwu.edu/visitor-parking

Days 2 & 3: George Mason

• Visitor parking is available in the Van Metre Hall parking garage at the posted hourly rate. 

• The first 30 minutes are complimentary. Parking beyond 30 minutes automatically incurs a charge.

• Payment methods accepted: Visa, MasterCard, and Van Metre Garage validations.

Rideshare Apps and Taxis:

• Uber and Lyft are good rideshare apps to use to get around Washington, DC and Virginia. We highly recommend them for travel to USIP on Day1 especially
