On Tuesday, November 10th from 10 - 11:30am ET, AfP, Legacies of War, and War Legacies Project will host a hybrid event exploring how to center youth leadership in long-term peacebuilding and security for legacies of war in Southeast Asia. The conversation will share crucial updates from the Third Review Conference (3RC) of the Cluster Munitions Treaty, reflect on field visits, assess the impacts of cuts to foreign assistance in the region, and identify solutions for how the peacebuilding field can help address the remnants of the Vietnam war, including the legacies of millions of families impacted by Agent Orange and unexploded ordnance.
Featuring:
Allie Hansen, Advocacy Ambassador, Legacies of War, and Mine Action Fellow, Mines Action Canada
Angie Zheng, Peace Fellow Vietnam, The Advocacy Project
Susan Hammond, Executive Director and Founder, War Legacies Project
In-person attendance will be at AfP’s offices (1730 Rhode Island Ave NW, 11th floor, Washington, DC 20036). Virtual attendance will be via Zoom webinar.
