Washington, DC, USA — The Alliance for Peacebuilding (AfP), a network of 270+ organizations working to prevent violent conflict and build sustainable peace in 181 countries, calls on the U.S., Israel, and all parties to the conflict to urgently end the war in Iran, protect civilians, and fully respect international humanitarian law. The war risks causing a full-blown regional violent conflict with global implications and significant civilian losses. De-escalation and peacebuilding are still possible, and world leaders must meet the moment with restraint and diplomacy.

The Alliance for Peacebuilding (AfP), named the “number one influencer and change agent” among peacebuilding institutions worldwide, is an award-winning nonprofit and nonpartisan network of 270+ organizations working in 181 countries to prevent and reduce violent conflict and build sustainable peace. AfP cultivates a network to strengthen and advance the peacebuilding field, enabling peacebuilding organizations to achieve greater impact—tackling issues too large for any one organization to address alone.
